Oh wait, you want to learn more about me? sweats
Have my character sheet:
I’m Sophia! (Or Min)
I’ve been into games and entertainment ever since I was a kid.
My first interaction with a video game was Okami by Clover Studios and Capcom, where I played on my Uncle’s Playstation 2 because my family couldn’t afford a console (I don’t think they knew what they were at the time anyways).
My brother ended up moving to Singapore, so him and his wife left behind a PS3 for me to play games on.
And thus, I became the most annoying child on the block, scarpering money together from odd jobs with neighbours to afford games.
Whilst not the most savoury story, it’s a reflection on how far I’ve come from a kid behind a controller to a game designer. I hope, one day, to create the same moving and fun experiences for other kids doing chores to hop online.
I adore art, just casually
I like to draw here and there just for fun. Mainly illustrating my friend’s DnD campaign characters, or just capturing moments of inspiration. I’m far from good, but that’s what a hobby is for, right?
I like product designing! Less than casually
I have a bit of a side business delivering miscellaneous graphic goods and designs that I’ve been running for 2+ years. During COVID, like everyone else, I wiled away, rotting in my 3 by 3 room, upskilling in something or rather. I chose graphic client services (I wish I were kidding).
I like sports, and dying out in snow fields
At UTS, I was on the L2/3 competitive cheerleading team called Gators Teal. I also like badminton, bouldering, beach volleyball, and skiing.
Skiing has always been a favourite sport of mine (sadge living in Australia) so occasionally I’ll travel to Christchurch or the Remarkables to hit the slopes and die on snow fields (I’m not actually good).
My claim to fame is I did Tough Mudder and only cried twice.
I like cosplay and costume making
Costuming and cosplay has always been a great passion of mine.
I won my first international title at 15 with my Hakuei Ren costume (pictured left), and secured by first official role with AFK ARENA as Satrana when I was 17 (pictured right).
I don’t do it as much anymore because I have real adulting to do, but this is still my passion as much as anything.
No my mom was not super hyped with feathers covering the house.
I’m in a band (tracks)
I love singing and performing arts - so occasionally I sing in a music group that will travel across AUS. We’ve performed at Animaga, the League Worlds’ event in Sydney, Smash, CRX and many more. :3
